After years of navigating roles across government, technology, education, and entrepreneurship, I felt a growing need to document the experiences that shaped not just my career—but my character. Today, I’m proud to share that this journey has taken the form of a book: Risepreneur.
This work is not a celebration of milestones alone—it’s a reflection of the purpose, uncertainty, and determination that define every step of building something from the ground up. Co-authored with my sister and fellow entrepreneur, Richa Dahiya, Risepreneur is an honest recounting of how we launched three startups across completely different industries—and the systems of belief, trust, and strategic thinking that carried us through it all.
Why We Chose to Build—Together and All at Once
In early 2024, while most entrepreneurs might have focused on a single venture, Richa and I made the bold decision to pursue three. Cloveify Wearables, a sustainable fashion brand; NXT Unpause Yourself, an education and self-development platform; and Krishivardha Agro, an initiative to bring innovation into agriculture—all emerged not from impulse, but from years of planning, market analysis, and a shared desire to solve meaningful problems.
We didn’t begin with investors. We didn’t begin with perfect systems. We began with clarity—about what we wanted to build and why. That clarity became our anchor as we faced paperwork backlogs, capital constraints, and more than a few sleepless nights. This book is about those nights, and the mornings that followed.
What It Means to Be a “Risepreneur”
The title is no accident. We coined the term risepreneur to represent a mindset—one that values purpose over vanity metrics, integrity over shortcuts, and long-term vision over instant gratification.
In a world saturated with startup headlines and social media wins, this book looks behind the scenes. It reveals what happens when you decide to launch not just companies, but culture-shifting ideas—often with limited funds and infinite hope. It’s a term for the entrepreneur who keeps building, even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard.
Between Siblinghood and Strategy
Writing this book also gave me space to reflect on what made our journey possible: the synergy between Richa and me. We are siblings, yes, but we are also complementary thinkers. Where I lean into structure, she brings vision. Where she imagines, I execute. Our business meetings often began as casual kitchen-table conversations and matured into deeply strategic dialogues across sectors and cities.
This dynamic, however, came with its own complexities. We had to learn how to balance personal history with professional roles. We had disagreements—sometimes difficult, often necessary. But through it all, we leaned on one constant: trust. That trust is what gave us the courage to pursue something most wouldn’t dare—three ventures in under a year, from two cities, with one unified mission.
